Matte Army Green Wrap on a Honda Civic – Naperville Area Project

There’s something about a matte finish that just makes a car look cooler. We recently finished a project on a 2014 Honda Civic, giving it a full wrap in Avery Dennison Matte Army Green. The roof was done in gloss black for contrast, and the whole car went from looking tired to looking sharp.

In Naperville, Aurora, and all around the Chicagoland suburbs, more people are turning to vinyl car wraps instead of repainting. Older cars especially benefit from it. When paint starts peeling or fading, a fresh wrap can completely change the look without the high cost of a new paint job. Plus, wraps protect whatever paint is left underneath.

Why go with matte or satin?

  • They give a unique style that stands out compared to standard glossy paint.

  • Matte and satin colors look modern, sporty, and clean.

  • Unlike paint, a wrap isn’t permanent. You can switch colors or finishes later on.

  • Premium brands like Avery Dennison and 3M hold up well to Illinois weather, from hot summers to snowy winters.

For this Civic, the matte green gave the car a rugged, almost military vibe, while the gloss black roof balanced it out with some shine. It’s the kind of finish that makes people look twice.

Car wraps in Chicagoland

Whether you’re in Naperville, Aurora, Batavia, Oswego, or anywhere west of Chicago, wrapping your car is a great way to give it a second life. A lot of people choose wraps not only for style but also to avoid the hassle and cost of body shop paintwork. And if you ever get tired of the look, you can peel it off and try something new.

Wrapping cars has become one of the most popular options for both daily drivers and project cars in the suburbs. From matte greens and satins to bold gloss colors, the variety is endless.
